We “lucked” into working with Linda Whitcomb by doing a Google search for kitchen and bath contractors. We were new to Cape Cod and had initially worked with one contractor to get initial projects done on our house. We had been very satisfied with this contractor, but when it came time to remodel our bathrooms, the contractor did not have any real design ideas and sent us off to various showrooms on our own. Frustrated, we walked in to what was then Village Kitchen and Bath. Linda was there and immediately gave us a sense of her expertise. We set up an appointment for her to come to our house and in the first visit, Linda got “creative”. We had specifics wants for our Master bathroom and a limited space. We had measured and configured and gotten no where. The other contractor had done the same. However, Linda went and sat in the bathroom and within a very short time came up with a solution and the rest is history.
We were so happy with the design idea, the quoted price, the professionalism, the ease of working with Linda and her crew, and the communication AND the finished product, that when it came time to remodel our kitchen we went directly to Village Kitchen and Bath. Again, Linda and her crew were terrific. We do not live full time on the Cape and much of the work was done while we were not in residence. We had total trust in everyone who worked in our house and Linda kept us updated through pictures, emails and phone calls.
This year we wanted to replace our deck. I asked Linda if she would want to tackle that as well, since her company was Village Kitchen and Bath….not Village Kitchen and Deck! Linda told us that she was changing the name of her company because the “kitchen and bath” title was too narrow. We did “shop around” too, for deck quotes and again, Linda came in with the best price and design.
Obviously, we have been very pleased with Linda Whitcomb and the people who work with and for her. We highly recommend Village. If you want a professional crew who take pride in their work, communicate well, and have really terrific ideas, then Village and Linda Whitcomb are the contractors for you. You won’t be disappointed!
